A workshop on bug-making using old fabric and cloth has taken over Sheffield.

Build-A-Bug has attracted people in Broomhill to build their own insects out of unused fabric scraps, with the help of event organiser ‘Tailor Trixie’.

The events have attracted so much attention on TikTok that the event often sells out and a wait list system has been implemented.

Trixie is also hosting multiple events, using up sustainable materials, and limiting waste in the area.

A three-part tiered-maxi skirt making workshop began this week, with the opportunity to learn and develop new skills.

Trixie said: “Friends had bits of fabric they didn’t know what to do with anymore, and when you start creating for yourself you generate a lot of waste.”
