Owls striker nominated for player of the month as fans keep dreaming of ‘miracle’ survival

Sheffield Wednesday striker Ike Ugbo has been nominated for a potentially record-breaking Player of the Month award in the Sky Bet Championship.

Ugbo has now scored six goals in nine games for Wednesday since joining on loan from French side Troyes in January.

If he wins, the striker can break a club record – becoming the first Sheffield Wednesday player to win a Championship Player of the Month award in their history.

Watch: Women beer social held in Sheffield for the first time

On Tuesday night a group of women celebrated the 10th anniversary of Sheffield beer week by hosting 25 women.

The shop, Hop Hideout, founded by Jules Gray, organised the South Yorkshire Beer Girls social to give women a safe space to drink beer.

BREAKING NEWS: Festival of Debate returns to Sheffield

The Festival of Debate is coming back to Sheffield for its 10th season.

This year the event will be focusing on exploring either radical reform of existing systems, or systemic change – building new systems and new ways of being.

The event will take place from 16th April – 25th May.

International Women’s Day celebrations hit Sheffield

Pat Midgley Community Hub in Wybourn, Sheffield are hosting a special event on Friday the 8th of May for International Women’s Day.

The campaign theme this year is “inspire inclusion.” It aims to create a “pamper, feel good well-being event.”
